We had originally planned on hosting the Western Regional at The M Resort in the summer of 2020 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were forced to postpone to 2022. We decided to retain our contract with the M Resort to avoid any termination fees.
Hosting the United Way Western Regional in Las Vegas provides United Ways traveling across the country easy access to travel with limited layovers. We also wanted to identify a cost-effective venue that is approximately 20 minutes from an airport, limiting the amount of commute time for our attendees.
The health and safety of all attendees is our first and foremost priority. The last thing we want is to cause a COVID-19 outbreak during the conference and put anyone at risk.
Our Western Regional Conference planning committee is carefully evaluating local COVID-19 ordinances in the Las Vegas area as we head into the conference. Any decisions on mask requirements, social distancing, testing, and vaccinations will be announced in June 2022.
Yes, we are currently accepting applications for learning sessions at the 2022 United Way Western Regional Conference through Friday, April 22, 2022.
A learning session can be a presentation, training, workshop, discussion, interactive activity, or a professional development opportunity relevant to our United Way work. Each learning session will last one hour and fifteen minutes in a break-out room outside our plenary conference space. Selected speakers will receive a 10% discount code to attend the conference. Our Advisory Committee will carefully review all submissions in late April, and final decisions will be posted shortly thereafter. Please note registration will be required for all learning session speakers.
Yes, shuttle services to and from McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas are available from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. daily, by reservation only. Due to capacity restrictions, reservations are subject to availability and must be made 72 hours in advance by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. Lyft, Uber, and other ride-share services are also available at the M Resort and McCarran International Airport.
