Paola N. Hernandez is an Associate Director at United Ways of California. In this role, Paola is responsible for managing the statewide outreach, strategic partnerships, and educative mobilization that encouraged Californians to participate in the 2020 Census.

Paola graduated with a master’s degree in public policy from Columbia University’s School for International and Public Affairs in 2018. As a development specialist, she has dedicated her career to advocacy efforts for communities that are often marginalized and overlooked. Paola has worked with various organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Family Independence Initiative, to advocate for equal rights and improved social services for low income families, undocumented immigrants, and ethnic minorities.
